I own right now Honda Prelude `98 2,2L 136kW 4WS. Have a plan to get JDM engine for my car but got little consern. Does this engine works on my car because of this 4ws system?
Has somebody had experience with stuff like this?Does 4ws system get any signal from engine ECU or not? Are 5 gen Honda Prelude and JDM ECU plugs similar?

 

firstly post which jdm motor your trying to get.
you need to make sure its a odb2 motor like you have now.
all h-series motors will swap in, you just gotta make sure its odb2 from the year 96+

 

4ws has nothing to do with the engine, it has it's own comupter.

 

jdm engine will be 5gen type s.i tried an ecu from similar honda without 4ws and it gave an 4ws error light.
