Just some quick info please. As some may be aware, based on my previous threads, when I bought my 98 JDM itr, which was imported by the previous owner to South Africa, the car came with an aftermarket fibreglass front bumper.

I have managed to source a 96 spec bumper and lip which I was fortunate enough to find at a local engine importer, on a front cut. It's obviously the same as a 98 spec. These cars are beyond rare in SA, with just 3 local reg that I'm aware of, so finding this locally was a huge bonus. Also, because of a lack of demand, I paid the equivalent of just $200.

Now my only problem is figuring out if I'm missing anything off the car, underneath that fibreglass bumper, that will prevent me from properly fitting this oem bumper on my car. I know on my EK the front just has 2 rectangular tubes that protrude from underneath the headlights, with a removable bracket bolted to the tops of these tubes. I'm not sure how the front end on the itr works.

In the pic below, there is the front brace, which was supplied with the parts I received. It isn't in a great condition, which isn't an issue, because my car has this already.

The question is: is this brace all there is to fitting the bumper on, or is there more, or something I'm missing, possibly a bracket or reinforcing, etc?

Any help or pics will be appreciated.

 

Looks like you are just missing the grill and screws for the lip. Your Reinforcement Bar looks a bit beat up but you can use your old one or just bend it to fit.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I have everything then...

I have seen this and many others similar, but the problem is that it's of very little use to me if items like the bumper support, reinforcment bar, or radiator support, etc are listed, but I physically don't know what they are on the actual car, & if they are there or not, lol.

Thankfully, this awful fibreglass bumper does not have an integrated grill, so I have it, & a spare one besides. Actually, I also have a spare bumper, but this latest purchase came along as a complete package, so I took it, given the price.
