Side markers install help/advice.
So I got these side markers from eBay and I wanted to know where I can get a cheap wiring harness? I'm a noob when it comes to things like this, Where do I connect it too? I'm I gonna need a switch like fog lights? I really want them to stay on all the time at night. Thanks for the advice.
you can splice into the original marker harness. use solder and heat shrinks to ensure that the wiring doesn't come loose. if you wanna look for a harness, depending on application you'll have to get an adapter, either take it to a parts store or run part numbers to match.

Nice! I installed some on mine a little bit ago. Im not gunna lie, it was a little nerve wrecking cutting into a good set of fenders lol. I took my time and think the turned out good.
Step 1- Make your car look like this, maybe leaving headlights and drive-train installed LOL.

Step 2- Measure, measure and measure again. You only get ONE shot at doing it right, not two... Start on the inside of the outline and keep test fitting until it fits in there snug. Make sure you go off of the BOTTOM of the finder where the skirt attaches. The fenders have a slant downwards the closer to the front of the car. You want the lights to sit parallel to the BOTTOM strait edge otherwise when its on the car you will sit crooked. I stressed about this more then anything because they will look off just looking at the fender, you need to trust your measuring.

Step 3- clean up and insert the lights into the fenders. See how the left fender "top" the light looks crooked with fender off the car.... Yet look at the last pic in my post it sits strait as can be.

Step 4- You wire in the lights. There are 4 lights on your bumper, the front are blinkers only, and the ones closest to the sides are running lights. My jdm bumper housings only have light in the front housings. The sides are reflectors only, so the other wire on the harness goes to the lights in the fenders. I cut and ran those wires to the lights in the fenders, so your basically moving it the light from the bumper to the fender if that makes sense. If you want to keep all the lights working you just need to splice into that lights power source. If you splice the front light housing the fender will only blink, if you splice into the side lights it will be on at all times, and be a blinker too which is OEM style.
Step-5 install onto the car and admire your work!

Since those lights have 1 circuit (2 wires- 1 power, 1 ground) you can only have them as turn signal or running lights, not both. For both you need lights with 2 circuits (3 wires- 2 power, 1 ground).
For your 2-wire lights, extend the green wire and splice it into the power wire leading to the appropriate light in the headlight assembly. The black wire goes to ground. Ground can be pretty much any bare metal spot (use a ring connector and self tapping screw), or you can splice into the ground leading to the headlight assembly, or go straight to the battery negative.

This is the thread I started back when I did mine, both people who responded are credible people here on H-T.
