Hi all,
I'm new to the board but recently started to have a oil light flashing issue on my 2002 honda accord. i had taken the car to a car wash before going to have the oil changed and the oil light came on right after an oil change (jiffy lube and before anyone bad mouths JF i have been going to this one for a while with no issues). I returned to JF and they changed the oil filter but had the same result. i took it immediately to my mechanic and they put a manual oil pressure gauge which showed a normal range. they changed the oil sensing switch and still we have the flashing light.

In addition, i noticed that my intermittent wiper function was not working. i changed the relay switch but nothing. Could these be related? I've been using the car for the better part of a month with no issues. Just wondering if some how the water shorted out something.

Did the two seem to happen at the same time?

Check the wire going to the oil switch and be sure it is not grounding out somewhere.

 

i didn't notice at first because my wife drives the car but it was within two weeks that i noticed the wiper wasn't working. i will check the wiring.
