Question ,
Have a 94 civic 2d ex all stock no mods
Been trying to find front bumper cover , have purchased several aftermarket bumpers , & factory oem bumper , all ordered per vin# , none of these bumper covers will fit , the frame/front end has no damage or repair done , bumpers should fit right up , but like the mold for this incorrect , running out of options, all replacement bumpers look exactly like original but replacements have not been tall enough to bolt up ( about 3-4" to short) but width from fender to fender is ok , not finding any info on this issue anywhere on web & dealer says that he is out of options , any recommendation for how to resolve this issue would be very helpful

Take a pic of it so we can have a more clear idea of where its not fitting. The way I do it is start in the middle(grill) area snap those clips in, then do the sides. You're probably not lining something up right.

Will try to upload pics, will have to purchase another bumper cover as I have returned them all,
For the grill (CLIPS) there is none of these on this model ,just 5 screws on top of cover & 2 under car on bottom of cover then few on each side for fenders ,
To give an idea , there is a styro foam block that fits between cover & front frame , if styro foam is mounted on frame ,the cover has a center stand off that should go under this styrofoam , but hitting dead center of styro block, so cover will not lay in correctly , also when cover is installed with top screws in place ,the bottom of cover lands about 3" high into radiator area , as where it should go under neath of bottom frame , like the space between the tag bolts & grill ,on cover need to be 3" taller when this cover is molded , again only two different covers where used on this year , & i have correct cover ( looks like the one that was from factory ) but even the OEM from Honda is doing same problem , so all covers that where purchased being from factory or aftermarket companies have had the exact fitment issues , the Honda dealer /parts manager has no remedies for this issue either , but took car to dealer to prove that it was not fitting correctly , after the seen this in person they where lost , been trying to find a cover in salvage yard as to get an original from that year , but no luck , just can't believe that I cannot find anything on this anywhere ,
PS; let me ad that when one of the covers I returned to PARTSTRAIN the person on phone said that all the covers that been sold where returned as well , but they forgot to mention this when ordering , go figure ,
Also do not have the original one, like a dummy I tossed it out after new cover was delivered , but was to install at later date , I myself removed original cover , so do know how to reinstall , not very difficult if the cover would just fit correctly

Maybe I should start looking for some type of race/sporty like bumper cover like as if the car had mods done to it? Emmisions are due , would hate to take off road for this , but police in my area are brutal about no bumpers on cars

Where are you buying the bumpers from and second, is the foam aftermarket or oem? I've had problems with aftermarket absorbers being too big.
