Default '05 Accord Wiper Problems... diagnosis?

Hello -

This is my first post, so I apologize if I am putting it in the wrong section.

My wipers will not stop on their own. Here's the story:

It's been an awful winter - I'm guessing this issue started with me trying to use a frozen wiper (d'oh!) I noticed the wipers were not moving one evening, but I figured it was on account of ice or what not - I left them alone until the next day - which was much warmer - however, they still were not moving.

I checked and replaced fuse 30, which got the wipers going again, however now they do not stop unless I turn off the ignition. They function at high or low speeds, the intermittent speed switch does nothing.

Looking around the internet, my guesses are either a bad wiper relay or a bad motor. I can replace either of these things, but operate on a limited budget, so I would prefer to get the fix right the first time around.

Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks

With the wipers not going off unless you turn the ignition off it makes me think it's the relay but, it could be the wiper switch (the one on the steering column that you actually manipulate).

For the relay: Find the relay and test it. It'll click once when you activate it and once when you take power away.

For the switch: You'll have to do the input test- if there is one. If there is one it'll be in the service manual.
