If you had around $5,000 what would you do with your Type R? Just trying to get some opinions from other ITR owners.

 

Depends on what you are trying to gain. You could spend $5k on suspension or engine/bolt-on stuff. Some would say that the OEM suspension is perfectly fine as is even if you track the car. Others prefer to modify the suspension. You could get a full bodied coilover set up, rear sway bar, adjustable UCA front and rear and some bushing upgrades. Or you could get a Mugen intake and full Hytech header/cat/catback and maybe a tune. You could also upgrade your final drive to a JDM 4.7xx or ATS 4.9 and get a clutch/FW combo. This will improve acceleration as our caRs really suffer from lack of torque.

 

Buy a wheel boot for peace of mind from theft.
