1988 accord idle issue
Got this carburetor dx with only 125k. All has been well until recent idle issue. The idle speed when in park or drive will fluctuate and surge. So far the issue seems to occur at least when the engine is cool or not quite up to temperature.
I consulted the service manual and am suspecting a faulty EGR valve. The part is $140 so want to make sure before trying this fix. If I had a A973x-041-xxxxx vacuum pump/gauge I could perform the test.
Am I on the right track? Is there somewhere to acquire the gauge? Other possible culprits?
Thanks for any assistance.

I hate to bump the thread up but the issue is become progressively worse. I took off the air cover to look at all the hoses around the carburetor and they look good.
Now the car stalls whenever I do not give it gas. Too much air?
Any ideas appreciated.
