Default Power Steering Problem

My transmission was changed and it did not came with VSS sensor which assisted in speed sensitive control. Rite now my pump works partially. When car is off its too hard and when its running its softer but not as it should be.

My current transmission is missing following part and the two pipes used to connect are bypassed by U shaped pipe

Question is if i find and install the part would it soften steering further ?

Yes, you need that sensor to maintain the correct operation of your power steering boost assist.

If those two pipes have been bypassed by U shaped pipe which means soften the steering maximum? with bypassed my car still have partial working system. Not too much soft.
