Lookin for some info on how to install the outer trans case. I've read the right up but still seems like I'm doing something wrong. I get the case on fine but when I tighten the bolts down the spot on the case that holds te shift rod in place keeps cracking off. Please someone help me out.

 

You have to have everything aligned, including the shift rod when dropping the case on.

NEVER use the bolts to pull the cases together....
