I'm getting a high pitch noise from my Acura RL 2005 starting today.

It sounds EXACTLY like this video


Do you guys have any experience with this?

 

Alternator going out. Have someone rev the engine and see if you can unplug the green with the grey rubber boot connector going to the alternator if the noise goes away. If it does then it is the alternator. Sounds like the bearings inside. Other possible noise could be the ac idler pulley

My car died today. I was driving and all of a sudden acting like I'm in neutral.

Called tow. Tow guy was pissed off because it was a hot day.

Long story short, the car is now at the shop.
