I've fixed my accord and I just got a free one minus the towing expenses and I have another transmission to drop in so this isn't a big deal. I'm just wondering if it's the transmission itself or just the clutch. Okay so symptoms: It goes into every gear when the car is running and when it isn't. While driving he said he heard a loud pop and put it in first and it wouldn't go anywhere. he just put a new xtd clutch in it brand new pressure plate and throw out bearing so what could the issue be? The shift linkage is fine, the axles aren't broke, there are no leaks. We did a test where we lifted the front of the car, put it in neutral and spun the wheels forward by hand and threw it in reverse and they stopped right away. Could he have put the clutch in wrong?

 

could be that. the only way to be sure is to take it apart and see. I have done many clutch jobs without an issue. even used stage 1 xtd clutch with no issues. actually surprised it did so well.
