A little high temp engine paint for the valve cover and VTEC solenoid will make it look a little newer. But it looks fine. It's a stock '99, the fastest stock 1.6L Civic in a straight line. Just keep it clean and drive it daily.

I had one of those back ten years ago. It was a good ride. I agree with the security system being needed. Out of all the cars in the neighborhood the one i drove got broken into twice but no other car around there did.

Favorite SI of all time in my favorite color, congrats on the car. Definitely would clean up that engine bay. Replace the rusting brackets and repaint that valve cover or get a new OEM one, and you've got yourself a totally mint car there man! Keep her safe
