Default 8000k hid kit not the right color temp

i bought a 8000k hid kit plug and play off ebay and the temp is 8000k blue and as u can see in the pic i have super white halogen bulb on the left and the hid kit on the right and the hids look like regular headlights and the halogen bulbs look alot white do i need to break in the bulbs so they reach to 8000k mark

We can't view pictures that are email attachments. Attach them to the forum via the "Manage Attachements" button below the post window (click "go advanced").

Now to the lights. I'm guessing the "kit" was a plug&play kit you got for around $30? Most of those are junk, and the quality control on the bulbs & ballasts are non-existent in the factory they are made in. The color also shifts to towards yellow with a higher power output ballast, and only god knows what that kit is really outputting.

I found your problem. DO a retrofit or leave HID's off your car. My retrofit was $370, Morimoto H-1 Retrofit kit and I installed myself, with genuine CTR headlights and X-Pel headlight protection film (like 3mm thick), grand total was about $800. You could probably piece together a good set-up for $180 or so if you don't want a plug-and-play kit. Do it right or don't do it at all. Don't use the "I can't afford it" argument either, save up.
