Icon2 Howling Motor D15B SOHC

My car turned what was a whirring, whining sound into this today:
what should I do with a week (spring break) and no option of buying new or used. I've done a motor swap before. Upgrade to B16? Auto to manual swap, or is that way too much work?

Thanks for the help/opinions.

Bump, because I'm either staying in town to fix this or leaving town for a week tomorrow morning. Please take a look and tell me what you think this might be.

You must include car information in your first post. Edit your first post to do so.

Is that an engine, transmission, or something-else noise? I'd be checking the drive belts and associated components, timing belt, input shaft bearing, and exhaust heat shields. Does the noise go away if you depress the clutch pedal.

Get an engine stethoscope to pinpoint the noise.
