Default Bought a cheap-o header to play with.. measurements inside

Cheap-o ebay header came in. Thought I was going to get a longer primary runner style like an F23 header, turns out to be just another DC knock off. Lots of porting to do at the head flange(LOTS), a little bit of touch up on the primary-secondary flange, and a decent amount of cleanup work to do at the collector. Took the following measurements for anyone wanting to know diameters, lengths, etc. All measurements are pre-porting. I really suggest taking a grinder to these things, LOTS of steps everywhere that need cleaned up. Still not a bad buy for $60 shipped for LX owners.

Head flange ports:
1.75" width
1.25" height

Primaries:
5.25" circumference
13" primary length
1.67" diameter(as calculated)
2.19 sq in area(calculated)

Secondaries:
1.75" diameter
6" circumference
22" runner length(measured from flange to collector merge point)
1.9" calculated diameter(close enough)
2.8 sq in area(calculated)

Collector:
2"

Head flange:

Primary to secondary mid-flange:

Secondary flange:

Collector:

Of course, it came with crappy gaskets, which will be thrown into the garbage. Going to use OEM Honda gaskets everywhere. Would be interesting to see how everyone else's headers measure out. I think the F23 style longer primaries(probably at least 5-6" longer) will actually produce more gains than this will.

I'll post some more results post-porting to keep those who wish to follow informed.

Interesting.
I have my DC Sports B1 header off the car thanks to it cracking to begesus and back.
Might have to join in on the fun.

I'd love to see some measurements if you get the chance. I'm actually a bit surprised at how decent this looks. I'll see if I can dig up a protractor and get some angles on the collectors/merges. If I could get my hands on an eBay f23 upper, this could be modded pretty easily to get it to where I'd like to be. The collector isn't really all too bad on it currently.

The one thing I have noticed with the knockoff headers, is that they do not use the two crush rings for gaskets between the header and down tube. Nor do they have a relief to use the rings.

I pulled one at the junk yard a while back. When the weather gets a little warmer I want to see what I can do with it. I got it for $25 so I won't be out much if it doesn't turn out well.

I noticed that, too. I forget where I saw it, but I believe the SR20DE's use the same gasket but of nicer quality and sealing than the F22's.
