Default Civic 97 b18b timing not change jumping connector

hi guys, Trying to set my time on the distributor but it's give me a hard time.

Start the car let it warm till fan come twice, hook up the timing light and point to TDC (white mark) perfect. Now jump the service connector start the car and the point to the damper and still show TDC.

If advance the Distributor all the way, the first mark of BTDC come close but not enough and when take the jumper of service connector the car isn't more at TDC, it's like 1/4" to the right.

Set ignition timing to red mark, not white mark.

In addition to having the service connector jumped, the engine must be idling to spec when adjusting the base ignition timing.

^^ This is what I'm trying to do.

With engine fully warm, service connector jumped, idle at 800rpm (750+/- 50) when point the gun blinks the TDC mark. If advance the distributor all the way The first BTDC mark come close but not enough.

If the engine is in spot at TDC at all marks and with the gun in the white mark. Why when I jump the connector the TDC mark still showing?

Sorry if any of the sentences not make sense, just ask me and I try to explain better!!

^I don't understand what you're saying.

If you can't adjust the ignition timing, it generally means that the mechanical timing is off by a tooth.

The alignment in your picture is TDC, not 16-degrees TDC.

Yes sir, Advance timing light set to 0.0

If I set it to 16* with the service plug jumped, The pointer show nothing and the TDC mark is like 1/4 to the left.
