so i am designing a ram intake for my civic ef

heres the drawing of what it would look like



i will be making the duct out of carbon fiber as well as the intake tube (or possible composite tubes) and the lens will be plastic.

i started by using the stock glass and doing a cut however i decided on making a plastic lens for weight reduction and safety reasons.

although im doing a straight through ram intake, do you think a box style intake with a filter will be as effective?

also in terms of piping how would i go about measuring the angles i need and the length of the pipe from the intake manifold to were the headlight will be? i was thinking of just order a ebay inter cooler pipe kit and just pick out the ones i need, however i want to save some money and just get what i need.

my plan is once i get the lens as close to perfect state, i will start selling them either as sets or singles. i may also start selling the ram intake as well as kits for people with efs that have d,b,h swaps.

as the tittle says its a custom ram intake. below it, are details of the process of making one and questions, as well as pictures.

 

itll work well. here is one i made about 4 years ago. i had to stiffen the way i mounted it....didnt think about the force of 160mph worth of air hitting it.
