Default my 92 cx b18 swap plan

i was told many moons ago on yahoo answers that jdm b18c gsr swap is the best/easiest route to go with upgrading my old 70 hp cx. all of the info i have found seems pretty straight forward with the exception of info on transmissions. my question is what transmission am i looking for for this swap to get the most bang for my buck?

GSR trans sucks. But for a 92 CX, it might not be bad. Maybe the longer gearing will help with wheel spin.

A hydro LSD B16A trans will be a noticeable upgrade in terms of gearing. It's got the same gearing as the 4.4FD ITR trans, but has the less desirable viscous LSD. It's also more available and cheaper than a ITR trans. I'd drop a 4.78 FD gear in it....but....I like short gearing.

Or the 4.4FD ITR trans with a 4.78FD dropped in it. Or if you don't mind weird 4 and 5 gearing, an original 4.78FD JDM ITR trans is a good bet. Any ITR trans is $$$$$, though.

Check out jdmenginescorp.com. bought a few K/H/B series engines/transmissions from these guys and the stuff is always super clean and less expensive than most. Actually, I think they sell entire ITR swaps for like $3700 shipped. That's a good bang for your buck.

Good answer, I only said GSR since he is getting a GSR swap and he wants bang for the buck. OP did not really provide enough information such as goals and budget.

The B16 Trans is awesome but the high RPMs on the highway at 65-80 MPH can be a little annoying to some.
