hi guys and girls i need some help
im thinking about getting a 1993 honda civic as my first car/project. i was wondering what kind of engine swaps i can do and what kind of power/fun i could get from doing it
welcome to the forums... i will let you know that you will hear this a lot in the future. use the search feature on this forum before the old salty veterans on here crush your hopes and dreams. it will help you out a lot. your options for a swap are crazy, from built d,b,h, and even v6 swaps. ask yourself what you want to do with the car and what kind of power you want. then look at your funds. start searching around on here until you find the best match for your ride. good luck.
hi thxs i have been using the search and found out that the B18c is a gd swap. i have just been finding it hard to find posts with alot of information on what motor to go for and how to go about swapping it in. any links would be great.
thxs again
thxs again
B18 is super easy swap as those cars were ment to carry a b16 in the si model.. K series will yield much higher performance but are much more expensive and require modding the chassis and removing p/s & a/c (unless you have deep pockets) H swaps are not as common as b series is easier to do and yields about the same results.. J swaps are for show monkies IMO, engine is to heavy for the car and you have to cut the subframe to lower the motor into the bay enough to close the hood
