So confession, this is about a b20 in my crv but since we share the same block and there's tons more of you guys in here than in the crv section here goes!:

I bought second hand YCP pistons about 2 years ago, they've just been sitting and waiting. I'm assembling the bottom end of my b20 and noticed this on one piston:






It doesn't go all the way through but there is also an air pocket on the bottom of the piston within 5mm of this hole....two casting defects very close together. My concern is not hot spots because nothing is protruding into the cylinder. My concern is the piston possibly blowing out at that location due to compression on a lesser, unknown thickness of piston.

Is this a worthy concern?

Where can you buy just a single replacement piston? eBay doesn't even have sets of 4 of these right now and I've searched the internet high and low.
