Default EG hatch with D16 and OBD0 ECU - fuel pump won't prime

I just recently purchased a honda, shall I say, another honda. At first glance it's a normal eg hatch with an obd2 swapped d16, but upon further investigation it has an obd0 ecu. The only problem I'm having with the car is the fuel pump won't prime. Could the ecu be the culprit?

I have checked grounds and fuses. Once the fuel pump primes it runs fine but takes about 10 minutes to prime. Didn't start doing it til after we had the car for about a month.

Please post car, year and engine.

Check the Main relay for cracked or bad solders, you can resold it or try other one. If the main relay click with the switch?

Lift the lid under back seat, with a voltmeter set to 20v, have a friend turn the switch to ONII and check if you get voltage at the pump plug.

The car is a 1992 Honda Civic. It has a D16y7.

Main relay does not click. When pump primes you just hear fuel pump come on, then pressurize, then check engine light turns off and car will then crank

start checking the main relay for crack or worn solders or try a friend one. You can resolder the old one or buy one in a junkyard if you not want to buy a new one.

If the main relay don't solve your problem you need to start checking the main relay plug for power and ground ( here RonJ@ht ) may give you some advise.

If you have another ecu try that too.
