Default Identifying B16A

Hey fellas,
First off, pardon me for my ignorance, I'm sure a lot of my questions are extremely simple.

I have purchased an '89 CRX SI that has been motor swapped with a B16A (I can see that stamped on the block.)
As you can imagine, there are a number of gaskets that I'd like to go ahead and change, as well as the usual oil change and whatnot.
My difficulty is figuring out what vehicle that the b16a came in. For example, at a parts store when trying to buy parts, I don't know what year or what car I need to be looking at when purchasing parts.

Thanks a million

Don't go auto parts for gaskets. Get OEM or go to a shop

That's fine with me, but I'm still curious as to specifically what engine I have.

Looks like a 1st gen b16a if the intake manifold is original. It's 160hp

Pro's- best quality of the b series heads including newer versions

Cons- weakest vtec cams, slowest Ecu if obdo, only a 58mm throttle body

When I order parts for the b16 in my crx I usually look up the parts for a 92-95 del sol VTEC (dohc) or a 99-00 civic si. Both came with a b16 the del sol had the b16a3 and the civic si came with the b16a2, I believe.

Honda Civic Del Sol VTEC (not Si) is what I use to buy parts. Gaskets and such, even OEM, usually require you to insert the make and model.
