EJ8 Tire Size+ rim size questions
I am upgrading the stock suspension on my 98 civic EX here soon and had a few questions about rim size and tires.
I am NOT lowering the suspension any, stock ride height.
I want to put on a set of rims that measure 15X6.5 /4X100mm, form what Ive read that's a good size without stressing the suspension components, or causing any steering issues. Is this accurate?
With these Rim sizes what would be the best tire size I could mount on them?
I had picked out a set of 4 Nexen N5000 measuring 205/65R15, how is this size?
I am not sold on the Nexen's so if you would suggest a different brand feel free and why?

The wheels will fit just fine, if the offset isn't too extreme. However, those tires are extremely oversized for your car. 205/55/15's and 205/50/15's would be a much better choice (if you're looking for a 205 contact patch).
You do not want to exceed a 3% difference in overall diameter, when comparing your stock tire size to your new tire size. It can reduce braking performance, suspension ability, and overall car stability/drivability. The 205/65/15's you first suggested are over 8% oversized for your car.
