Key Questions- 02 CL
What's up guys? Looking at recovering and buying a stolen 02 3.2 Acura CL. Car currently has no keys whatsoever so I am looking at having to buy a new key (or set of keys). I've been told that the key programming process is a dealership affair. Is this entirely true? I work at a shop and have access to a couple different OBD-II handheld scanners (one basic, one larger with the ability to run learn procedures for certain cars) so if I can do it myself, I will. Is there anywhere that has the FSM for this procedure? I've already looked into getting a key cut and can get a key blank for $40 from the dealership, and a locksmith that can cut it for probably between 50 and a hundred bucks. The dealer wants between 1 and 2 hundred to program the key to the immobilizer as well.
