Honda Pilot 2005 issue with radiator install
Hi Guys,
I need the asistance of someone who understands motors. This vehicle has given me no trouble since 2005. Only regular maintenance and timing belt changed.
I took my Pilot in to be serviced and was told the radiator is leaking so we ordered a new one and I paid to have it replaced.
Upon return the following issues arose and I am being told they are unrelated to the instal of new rad.
No power to radio.
When I push the brake from Park and put into gear, it now makes a loud 'click' sound every time, but not while driving the vehicle and using the brake.
When I push the 'mode' button to change heat from cabin to defrost or feet, etc. I can hear a low sound like the heater is switching from one selection to the other.
Now I understand the vehicle is close to 10 years old but can someone explain to me whether these are all unrelated or in the install of the rad, these areas needed to be altered.
please help
thanks

No power to the radio cannot be related in any way I can think of.
The click when you push the brake and shift from Park to gear sounds like the brake interlock... and is normal. Why it would be louder than before is a mystery. Perhaps (and I hate it when told this) you are more sensitive to noises after coming out of a maintenance event.
I always use the Auto button on our climate control systems and rarely if ever stray from that. But low groaning sounds are not uncommon in older vehicles as the air gates change position to redirect the air flow in the HVAC system.
The only HVAC relationship I can think of to a radiator install is that the tech should have turned your heat on max during the process of changing out the radiator and filling with fresh coolant.
Consider yourself fortunate that you got a new radiator (and not a new tranny). That means the radiator/transmission fittings should not be a failure issue for you... for probably the next 120k miles or so.
The Pilot and Ridgeline share a similar radiator design (and this design is not unique to Honda either):
