Default Damn Rain Flooded Out My CRX!!!

Here is houston, it has been raining for 10 days straight, with few breaks, and guess what, I ran through water last night on my way home from the bowling alley! Now my carpet is all wet, and I think I got water in my oil!

What can I do/look for to make sure my car is alright! I ran throug about a foot and a half or water, so what all should I check?!

You may have to pull your carpet up. Or use a blowdryer or wet dry vac. If you leave it in you may get mold.
The rain has been bad, I have been housing all week.

If you have a CAI that's low to the ground you could suck up water and kill the engine but otherwise... The engine doesn't leak anything out, so how can it leak anything in? riiight..
You probably dunked the end of your exhaust but not long enough for it to get water to the exhaust ports. You would have evaporated all of that excess water if you ran it for 5 minutes anyway, exhaust is hot enough.
The way you described it there's really no engine damage i can think of that comes from dunking a car in only a foot and a half of water. It only effects it if water gets to the exhaust or intake ports.
You could crack a header maybe if the tempature difference was extreme enough.. maaaybe.

I left the car at a Kroger parking lot, and it's about 2 miles from my house. Should I attempt to drive it home, or find a way to tow it?! I don't want to screw up my engine!

My 90 hatch was in a flash flood a couple of years ago. I had it towed because it didnt start due to the ecu killing itself. other than that, I had the exhaust drained, The muffler got louder, that all. I let the carpet dry in the heat, it is just now dry rotting. Bought a new ecu and I was good to go! I wouldnt chance it if I were you. You may fry the ecu, which would cost you about 50 bucks, you might as well get her towed home.

hehe i thought you got it out already. that sucks.
uhg yeah i forgot about the ECU. Normal water will only fry it if its submerged. If not then it should be alright - however SALTWATER will destroy it..
If your ecu, intake or your exhaust is underwater, dont start it.
I'd say have it towed out, that sucks!! good luck!

edit:
""" What can I do/look for to make sure my car is alright! I ran throug about a foot and a half or water, so what all should I check?! """

huh? are you parked in a foot and a half of water? did you only drive through one then park to make sure everything was alright? did the car act funny atall after getting soaked? did it die? did it sputter? did it act normal and you were just afraid to break it? whats the deal here. be more exact.
