Hi all, I hope someone can shed some light on my problem before I take my FIT 2008 Sport to the dealer.
Most mornings or when ever I star the car for the first time, I get a strong smell of gas inside the car, nothing like this happens again for the rest of the day.
It seems that that this problem happens only after the FIT has been off for a very long time, like overnight.

maybe a fuel leak. is it possible your smelling an exhaust leak?
any fluid on the ground?

when vehicles are cold fyi the computer sends more fuel to motor

 

no ...no leaks on the ground...no exhaust smell....just a strong smell of gas that goes away in about 20 minutes driving and it never happens again until the next morning when car is parked overnight on the driveway...thanks for the tips...

 

i would look closely at the injectors could be an external leak or leak at the fuel filter lines
