Default White smoke after hitting curb ?

I pulled into a curb with my 91 honda civic ef sedan, i hit the rubber lip on the bottom of the bumper and the tow hitch looking thing under the car . Idk exactly what it is but im assuming its a tow hitch .there is one on each side but i only hot the left one. Its pretty bent out of shape but thats all i hit . I did hit it pretty hard and when i got home i popped the hood and noticed there was white smoke coming from what seemed to be the radiator(between radiator and head cover). It never smoked before i hit the curb, why would it do that ? A blown head gasket seems very unlikely but i really dont know . The car isnt over heating, it drives the same, and everything seems to be fine except the white smoke . The smoke doesnt spew out its very faint and smells like burnt plastic . Oh and if possible can someone tell me what the metal thing is i hit ?

Cracked radiator maybe?
Are you losing water? Do you notice any puddles when you park?

Its not a maybe.

You broke your radiator.

And maybe bent the lower brace/frame.

1) Your car is smoking. Obviously it is bad.
2) It sounds like you don't know much about working on cars so you probably should stay away from trying to fix this yourself.
3) You need to properly assess the damage and see what all needs to be repaired. Probably will cost about tree fiddy.
