I have a z6 trans with good gears and a bad bearing, so I'm going to have to open it. Also, every single damn bolt hole on the outside of the casing is stripped out. can I put all of the internals in the b7 cassing at the same time without any modification? gear sets, diff, etc.

No, the diff bearings on the Z6 are larger.

 

I had a friend try this and the main shaft was wider and did not fit the holder on the case...

Odd...I managed to put Z6 internals into my CX case without issue. I swapped out the main/counter/final drive ring and it has been fine for the last few years.
