93 civic auto with 2000 y7 longblock swapped. No spark/starting.
I have a 93 auto civic hatch and swapped in a y7 longblock in. Used the stock d15b7 dizzy and intake manifold. New tune up parts. Not getting spark. Need to move car ASAP. All stock automatic car.
Advise?
Pulled plugs smell like fuel and are wet

No codes pump primed and plugs smell like gas. B7 stock ecu. I pulled the plugs and tested for spark after cleaning grounds. Bright white.
After some triple checking I'm coming to conclude that timing has jumped a tooth because my buddy stupidly rotated the motor clockwise...... Ugh. I'm gonna pull VC and check timing and reset it.
It's a unmolosted y7. All stock

Are you using the D15B7 injectors, or the D16Y7 injectors? When you say "no spark", did you use a spark tester, or are you just assuming there isn't any spark because you're getting fuel?
I have spark and fuel. I was WRONG. I thought I had no spark. Tested it and it's bright white.
Recap on setup. All d15b7 auto parts on a complete head and block d16y7. D15 alt, dizzy, mani, header, injectors

So you have a Y7 engine. To my knowledge, you would need a Y7 ECU and distributor. I'm not sure whether a Y7 base map chip is available for an OBD1 ECU. The swap gurus will surely chime in.
Can't chip it cuz automatic. D15 dizzy bolts up no issue. Also last I searched the timing map on d15b7 and d16y7 were either same or soo damn close it's like a twin brother. I just need to check the timing and adjust. I'll post up results later
okeedokee...I'll be interested to know if what you say is verified by others.
It sould run fine if what OP stated is correct as far as head, block, injectors, distributor and ecu. The B7 distributor bolts up to the the Y7 head.
A couple of things off hand is the Y series run with 12* ignition timing and the B7 is 16*.
Check the valve lash to make sure it's not too tight bleeding off compression.
Double check you have the spark plug wires in the correct firing order.

b7 distributor/ecu work just fine on the y7, i have used the combo personally. what happened with the timing?
Got it running. Timing was off a tooth. Just gotta get it cleaned up and make other repairs to random stuff and it'll be a fully stock and clean hatch for the DD.
