My 1998 Honda Accord Lx 2.3L wants to stall out while idling. It doesn't quite stall but runs rough as the RPM drops quickly to about 200 rpm when I come to a stop. How do I adjust the RPM to idle higher?

 

Check your EGR system/valve and make sure that it is not open when your car is at idle. The EGR valve should not be open during idle conditions, it will cause your engine to stall out if it is.

If it is not your EGR you could also try cleaning your rotary air control valve (RACV) located on the back of the intake manifold. As well as your throttle body, EGR ports and intake manifold.

If your engine has started to stall out at idle there is something wrong with one of those two systems, be it something in them is faulty or dirty. Adjusting the throttle stop or idle speed settings should only be used as a last resort.
