So.. this may sound like a dumb question but im runing h2b setup in my hatch putting down around 230whp and im going to be runnng a 100 shot at the track...

my question is the civic is completly bone stock height... done anyone have any expierence with stock suspension at the track? the car hooks up well on the street with no traction bars what so ever on a mickey thompson street ET 2 215/60/14.

There is no wheel hop what so ever when i launch and it almost dead hooks lauching at 3850 on my 3 step launch controll...

after some research i found some people run stock rear suspenion sometimes. just looking for some insight before i go embarrass my self at the track because i cant hook lol

If the car hooks decent on the street it should work pretty well at the track.

Just go test the car, don't worry what other people think. If it doesn't work then make changes and go from there.

Plenty of guys have gone fast on stock suspension.

Get to the track and have fun!

 

Assuming this is your first time ever at the track, just worry more about getting comfortable from the staging lanes to the end of the track. Not to say it won't be more difficult on stock suspension, but you have plenty to learn.
My first pass on the track, I went through the water pit on street tires, didn't drop my pressures, and wheel hopped through half of first before I threw it into second gear. You know who remembers that besides me still? Basically nobody, lol.
3850 sounds a bit low to launch, although I haven't driven a nitrous car before, or a car with that much organic whp, but you may want to play around with that when you start to feel out the car a bit more!

 

As mentioned before, I do believe there have been a few people that have had good luck on stock suspension. Some of them making quite a bit more power too.

 

no this isnt my first time to the track. i take my evo a couple times a year and run. This is however my first time in the civic its usually just my street play toy but wanna have some fun this year. after some research ill probably drop the tire presssures to 12-15 psi and bring up my launch to 5k or so. Im still not sure if i need to do a burn out in the water box or not...it is a street et radial and not a full drag radial...since it hooks on the steet fairly well im guessing it will be much better on the track already. i may skip the water box the first time out... as far as the suspension glad to hear people have had good turn outs with stock stuff. im not a fan of the whole lowered car thing. use to when i was younger but now (ant no body got time for dat). plus its kinda my sleeper oem exhaust with a 3" electric cut out. bone stock height makes for good fun on a friday night

you ran a 6.8 second 1/4 mile? at 110......

 

That's clearly an 1/8th mile time. Trap speed is dead on for a high 6 second pass.

Yeah I meant 1/8 mile. 6.8@110 is like 10.1-10.3 @ 138-142
