Hi everyone, just thought I'd start my build thread up for my UKDM ITR.
*Note I've copied and pasted this from another forum, so this 1 post is showing around 7 months of progress*
After driving my D-series EK3 Civic for a year, I decided it was time for an upgrade, so I set my sights on a DC2. I began the search and found 1 in Scotland that I was impressed with, unfortunately the deal fell through so I resumed my search. Not long after I found one for sale which was close by to me in Seaham, just 30 mins away from me in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
After a quick look I decided it was the one for me, so we finalised the deal and I picked it up on Saturday 15th June and got insured the following day :D
The car is really clean and has a short and sweet spec list, including a OMP steering wheel, HID kit, K&N air filter, Autowatch CAT 1 alarm system, Tegiwa Brake Stopper, S/S mid section and upgraded speakers.
My EK3

The DC2

So far I've bought and applied the Tegiwa OEM style side decals [Pics soon to come]
I've also ordered some headrest pillows for the Recaro seats.
Future plans include buying some BuddyClub Coilovers, exhaust system and maybe some wheels, apart from that the main focus is on maintaining everything properly and just enjoying it :D
Got some more pics tonight with the side decals visible

The pillows for my Recaro seats came today and look awesome

On the other hand, in less than one week of ownership, some scumbag decided to key my car last night, he's went over the driver side wing and door.
Pic of the wing with 3 scratches

Pic of the door

Pic of the cushions on, I'm pretty impressed with them.

Was out today and got the car washed so thought I'd take some pics :D

Bought some goodies for the car, some cleaning stuff, a replacement driver side wing, a teishi carbon gurney flap, and a red Honda badge to replace my faded one.

It's been a busy few weeks for the DC2!
First off I bought some Buddyclub Coilovers to get the car at the height that I wanted, we took out the OEM suspension which has seen better days I guess...

Once the coilovers were fitted, a loud knocking was coming from the front driverside, I think the top mount has gone on it, I contacted the seller and he has agreed to refund me on them, I'm planning on moving over to springs on OEM shocks once they've been returned.
I also managed to get hold of a Teishi carbon fibre gurney flap and a better rear H badge, here's a pic of them fitted

I managed to buy a Fujitsubo 4-1 manifold, [pics soon to come]
A friend of mine, who's also a painter, was selling some Circuit 10 wheels. I bought them and decided to get them refurbed in bronze by him, he also painted my new driver side wing to replace the scratched one. Needless to say he did an awesome job on both!
Here are pics of the refurbed wheels and the refurbed wing

The next day I got the tyres swapped over and wheels fitted on at my local garage

I also got the new wing fitted on:

As I was planning on going to Japfest 2, I decided to get a full service done to the car by a friend who runs a garage called FRD [Future Racing Developments]. He changed the engine oil and brake fluid, he also adjusted the tappets inside the engine and checked my ECU for fault codes.

The day before Japfest I cleaned the car up, first I washed it with the 2 bucket method, then I used Iron X over the full car

Followed by claying it, I was impressed with the results

I decided to get a machine polish done straight after to brighten up the cream parts of the car and finished by waxing.

The car was cleaned and ready for the show!
It got a lot of attention at Japfest, which I was pleased with. Here are a few shots of it on the CivicLife stand:

So after around 3 weeks of ownership I've done nearly everything I've wanted to do with the car, all that's left to do is to fit the Fujitsubo manifold that I bought, and a nice exhaust system, everything else will be on maintenance
Was driving the other day and hit 135k on the clock so thought I'd take a quick picture. My ABS light came on after fitting my coilovers, the ECU was checked and its the front passenger side sensor, so I've ordered a new one, I think the SRS light is wired up to come on with the ABS light so both are on at the moment.

Some pics of the car on the coilovers before I had to take them off due to 1 being faulty.

I bought some stock suspension which some mates fitted, and thought I'd change the camber arm at the same time

I also bought a brand new front red H badge direct from Honda to replace the nasty pink one

I've also bought a Hond-R decat pipe, [pics to come], hopefully I'll be running a 4-1 Fujitsubo manifold, with the decat and a 5zigen exhaust to finish it off.
I managed to get hold of a full Fujitsubo RM01A Exhaust system [Midpipe and Backbox], a Hond-R Decat and a Fujitsubo manifold

After the exhaust system I managed to get hold of a H-Tune ECU, I took a trip down to FRD in Middlesbrough to get the car remapped

I had some rust creeping in on the passenger side rear arch so thought I'd get that sorted and get the car undersealed before any bad weather arrives.

All done!

I recently bought a USDM Roof Visor/Spoiler

I found out one of the previous owners wired up the ABS and SRS lights together to stop the SRS light being on all the time due to the airbag delete. So when 1 of my ABS sensors broke it made the SRS come on with it.
Loving the ukdm... How do you turn off the SRS light? Mine is on too.

Thanks
Not sure tbh, if you've got an aftermarket steering wheel then try wiring it up to the ABS light so that it goes off. Other than that I think people either pull the bulb out or just cover it with black tape.

I just picked up a UKDM ITR cluster and was wondering what the triangle in the lower right hand side of the cluster meant. Really good looking teg by the way.

Thanks man, just doing some maintenance stuff at the moment, repairing brake calipers, fixing handbrake up etc.
In the Summer i've got plans for lowering springs, mud guards, a under splitter on the front, and spraying the fog hole inserts white instead of black to clean it up a bit.
