95 automatic transmission problem, reverse no matter what gear selected
Ok, I've got a 1995 Integra with a b18b1 and an Automatic Transmission. No matter what gear the indicator says it only goes into reverse. Even if you're sitting in Park, it goes in Reverse. You can bump down to like D4 and its in neutral, and if you go into D3 or D2, its Reverse..
I figured if its a shifting cable it would atleast hit a Drive gear after getting past neutral. Any thoughts? - I'm open.. I'm just replaced the trans .

What prompted the replacement of the transmission, and how long did it work before this happened?

Well the old transmission would drive fine then when it heated up the drive gears would quit working, so I replaced the trans with one from my friends car that he 5 speed swapped . I just reused my sensors off my old trans.

OP I don't really know enough about auto trans but what year is the new auto trans and have you checked for codes at the TCM?
but have you checked your ATF fluid? there will be several shift solenoids located on the transmission. did you disconnect any of them? are you sure nothing was left disconnected?if level is good, i would probably check for power after the selector. if power exists, check at the solenoid(s).

Its also from a 95, does it matter the fact that when I installed the torque converter , I just pushed it on the imput shaft of the trans then put the trans in. I didnt turn it clockwise till It "locked"
