My buddy recently got a 97 integra with a factory CD player.

I'm assuming the battery died and it's locked him out of the CD player.

He's searched online and everywhere says to bring it to the dealer. The dealer quoted him $70 to unlock it. They said they would have the remove the player.

My question is... Is the code on the back of the CD player? I've seen this before I believe but I want to be sure before he goes ahead and removes it. He has no owners manuals or anything of that nature which could also have the code.

I'm wondering how honda/Acura will get the code and if it is on the back of the unit it would save him some cash.
