SOMEONE HELP PLEASE !!!
ok i have a stock integra gsr with a stock b18c1. after a while the oil light started flickering put a gauge on it and yes the oil pressure was low 10psi idle. i put new main bearings and rod bearings in with new oil pump and still did the same thing. so i rebuilt the motor and checked all the journals, cams, crank, new rings, honed cylinders, etc. however i did not get a new oil pump (did not have the cash) put it all back together and it still does the same so i put a pump on it from a b20z i had laying around thins time it was not as bad (25psi idle and 25psi at 3000) but still i cant use it like this. i start a new job next week and have to have my car back HELP ME !
Seems like oil pump is shot..run the b20z pump until you get your first check. Dont be driving the car hard. Buy oil pump immediately. Put it in, and you are good. Check your oil clearances for mains and rods. Mains are .009- .012 amd the 3rd journal i believe is .010-.013? Numbers can be had if you download the service manual. Hope it helps!
i checked all my journals they are in spec. money is rough right now however i do have a f23a1 oil pump im going to try later today and see what it does IF it fits. if not then ill have to find or buy another pump also imi going to try another gauge just to make sure.
Once u put a new oil pump on make sure its vtec oil pump. And make sure u take off the oil pick up tube clean the screen with brake cleaner while it's out and let dry. Probably dirty and clogged and can't suck up no oil.

ok folks i found the problem i took the b20z oil pump used the spring out of the b18 pump along with a small washer to make the spring stiffer and it worked im getting 80psi at 3k rpm and im very happy .........advice to anyone who does a rebuild do not get a oil pump with a kit like i did, get a honda brand pump
ok i started driving the car the past 2 days and i noticed that when my car worms up im not getting but 45psi at 3k rpm and it will not go past that so im prob going to put in another washer or new spring at idle it is ok tho
45 psi sounds fine? 80 seems really high.
And i remember ronJ at one point mentioning on the 92-00 civics, 10psi at idle was normal. Have things changed?
Just how they are made.. My cutlass with a 350 sbc in it has way lower oil pressure across the whole rpm range. And 80 is right where you wanna be pretty much. That's what I'm usually at, unless at idle obviously.
i called the honda dealer asked about a pump the told me the price but could not tell me it was for a b18c1 "that does not mean anything to me its for an integra" does anyone know of another good place to get a oil pump. i have not had any problems with the car other than this and i would really like to see what another pump would cost instead of putting in another washer
