Default Under spray in a can... does this exist/any good ?

Helping a friend with his car we cut out any rust and welded in new metal, but where the new metal is it's bare is there an under spay/similar that comes in a can ?. We'd like to coat it before it gets onto the street vs after. The roads north of Toronto are horrid !

thx

First spray on a good primer.

Then spray on an epoxy chassis paint.

Then spray on an undercoat. Don't cheap out on undercoat. Buy the 3M stuff.

Yes it works. Roads in Chicago/burbs are bad too. I'm the world's #1 rust hater. I always epoxy and undercoat entire chassis' for any of my DD's. I do it in summer. I put the car on stands or the lift. I wash the chassis with my pressure washer and watch a garage movie (usually its a pr0nz) whilst waiting for the car to dry. Then I coat everything. Control arms. Fender lips. Chassis. I. Dont. F#&k. Around.

Amazon has all that stuff for fairly cheap if you can't find it at a parts store, BTW.

That rubberized undercoating doesn't stick too well, so please clean that thing thoroughly with SuperClean and hose/pressure before even doing anything.

Dilute SuperClean 50% with water or it can remove paint.
