Default New member, first honda.

This is my first import/fwd/auto car i've ever owned. I've usually had all american rwd stickshift vehicles, so its a new world to me. I've owned the car for about 7 months now, and since owning i've put a little bit of work into it. Since owning it's had; new automatic transmission, new cv axles, tstat, dizzy, edelbrock 65mm tb off a b18, swapped to 99+ tails, yellow halogens, new front end, a bunch of other crap I can't remember. It was bone stock when i bought it, it wasn't in the best condition either. dents, scratches, etc. its a 98 ex coupe auto. Future plans include an engine and trans swap, possibly a turbo if money permits, coilovers, wheels/tires, paint, and full reupholster interior.

when I bought it:

before the new front end/tint

how it sits now

Only thing I see missing in that list is, 5 speed conversion and suspension overhaul.

Goodluck with the project!

I said engine/trans swap, and possibly coilovers. I'm thinking b18 just due to the fact of ease. It's all in due time. I thankfully don't have many bills and have decent amount I can throw at it each month. I'm working through some idle issues and what not right now. but thanks man. I really just want to get it up and running nice right now since it's my only car.

Well....engine/trans swap, is exactly that. Different engine and trans. Was talking about the 5 speed conversion. Pedal assembly, shift linkage, clutch master cylinder/lines. Thought you were going to swap another automatic in there lol.

And coilovers isn't a suspension refresh. Was hinting to the fact that 16 year old ball joints, tie rods, and bushings will more than likely need replaced.

What are the current idle issues/symptoms?

Yeah. Sorry I should've clarified more. haha no, I want out with the auto. I thought I'd enjoy an auto for a daily because I used to hate having a stick in my old truck. I regret the decision every day. But yeah you are correct. Thanks for the suggestions!

Sounds like you're on the right track dude! Just don't rush it. Take your time, do things right the first time and later on down the road you'll have one sick unit! B series are for sure the of swaps for a honda. My advice depending on your money situation would be to swap in an ls! If you plan on boosting later and ls turbo is a very fun set up! cheap, reliable, and if you get bored of the power you can go ls/v and upgrade other stuff too! good luck with the car!

Yeah, it's all undecided as of right now. I'm currently trying to find an ef/eg hatch to swap my buddies old d15 into and turn that into my main project.
