wiring questions. For subs and speakers.
Hey so i bought a 1988 ef Civic. I love it. However when i first purchased it the subs and stereo were all wired into a small plastic switch. It broke. So underneath the dash is a huge mess, and I'm looking to fix it. I know very little about wiring and am looking for diagrams. The whole thing is a mess and I'm looking to rewire the whole thing. The car runs like a champ, and I've installed new seats, painted it, timing belt, brakes, and callipers, and its a 1.6L dohc. So I'm looking for a wiring diagram to fix the stereo. thanks .

Im new to this forum and would be thankful for suggestions.

There really shouldn't be a whole lot of under dash wiring for speakers or subs, and there's really not all that much even for the head unit. Be careful of what you're yanking out.
You can very easily get away with rewiring the entire stereo system.

'88 Civic with a DOHC 1.6! Saaaaweeeeet. I think the wiring under the dash is probably a hack-convert-job. The stereo is really easy to install. Your amp only needs 1 wire from the headunit and the RCA cable(s) for the input to the amp. Then you need power from your battery. Get some pics and I'm sure help will be plentiful.
