If both engines are obd1, you have a straight swap, just pull one engine and put the other one in. Is the engine in the car bad, or is there another reason to swap them?
That's great news! Yes the one in the car as a rough idel and smokes a lot i suspect it to have a low compression the car as 340 000km I originally bought the Jdm h22a to swap in a 98 civic but I posted an had on kijiji to trade it for a prelude that needs engine work and I found a good candidate I was told the Jdm as 60 000km on it paid 1500$ last year for it
It's says h22a on the block and as the red head cover if I'm right I believe it's out of a type-r right hand drive
Found in the Japanese 5th gen Prelude Type-S and SiR S-Spec (BB6). It produces 220 PS (162 kW; 217 hp) @ 7,200 rpm & 163 ft·lbf (221 N·m) @ 6,500 rpm and comes with a red valvecover.

Pretty much all H22 from Japanese market cars are just marked as H22A, regardless of standard or type-s. The only ones that are easy to identify are the ones with ATTS mounts for the Type-S with ATTS.
The valve covers are too easy to swap to judge what the engine is, 5 minutes to change that out, and many people like to swap to the red or blue stock covers, or paint / powdercoat them as well.
