Surprisingly after multiple days of searching this topic I've found almost nothing of use to determine which B series EF mounts will yield the highest amount of ground clearance. Claims of Hasport being higher than Innovative have been met with contradicting statements. I would much rather sacrifice hood clearance for ground clearance.

The engine is a B18b1 so at least it has a shorter head than any of the vtec B series engines. Car is an 89 Civic Wagon. At this point I am fine with running an oem manifold for maximum height before I sort out the mounts.

Hasport and Innovative are obviously top choices and I know there are a few other out there. Pictures of oil pan clearance would be greatly appreciated along with your experience with using any brand of mounts.

Believe me, I love researching and learning new things, especially things that will greatly aid me in the near future, but I cannot find any solid info. I find it absurd as everyone and their mother has or has had an EF with a B series.

Picture is only to show my current height which isn't all too low. I just would rather have the room down under.

 

i have a GSR in my 88'CRX and i have innovative mounts...i can tell you right now that you will be fine... my crx is pretty low and i have no clearance issues..ill try and share a pic later...and btw, innovative claims that their mounts will clear a B20 no problem too

 

I appreciate the input, Sir. I'm going to just look at some pictures too and compare pictures of mounts side by side. Pictures would be awesome if you can.

 

not sure how helpful this is, but my B18a doesn't sit that low using Hasport mounts

 

I have older HASport mounts and my B16A (This may not be helpful since it is a VTEC motor) sits below my innovative traction bar.

And Freemananana, thats the only thing I could find was that the older ones sat lower. Thank you for confirming.
