I got this 97 civic that i just bought, it has coilovers in the front but the rears seem to be cut, i wanna replace the springs i got a set of adjustable coilovers, i just want to replace them so the *** end aint so damn bouncy, what is involved with putting in adjustable coilovers, i got them cheap and i wanna install these to save for a better setup, i got the adjustsble coilovers with the locking rings and collar , what exactly needs to be done to install these? Just take the strut off pull the crap *** cut springs and install the coilovers and adjust? Or am i missing something?

 

depends. are they sleeves or full coilovers?

 

Sleeves they didnt come with struts

 

are you sure the bounce is from the cut springs?

 

It could be that the struts are blown but i gotta get the cut spring outta there either way

 

Yep the springs are cut and the struts are shot and now i gotta replace control arm byshing cause bolt snapped so, im gonna put it back together and buy new struts when i get money, i never understood y anyone would wanna cut springs
