96 Accord Auto Stalls Under 1/4 Tank?
I have a 96 Accord just bought it, when the gas gets to around a quarter tank it stalls when coming to a stop. Let me say that it IS AN AUTOMATIC so it's not that I can't drive. Any ideas of what would be causing this?
If it always does it with less than half a tank it could be the fuel tank strainer is bad/clogged up.
To verify it's that, you will need to buy a fuel pressure tester kit from Harbor Freight. Install it, point the gauge through the hood to the window so you can see it. Lay the hood on it. Drive the car, when it dies, if the fuel pressure drops you found the issue.

Might also be a maladjusted float.
When the car stalls, how much gas does it take to refill?
FWIW, 95 EX coupe takes about 14-15 Gallons when on E. 97 EX sedan needs 14-15 at 1/4 tank mark, misfiring occurs at 1/8 tank, never tried going to E. P.O. stated '97s fuel gauge read high.
