Aluminum air intake or plastic ? Stock 2005 honda civic ex.
Trying to decide between a k&n 57 series fipk air intake or k&n 69 series typhoon intake.
Any better suggestions than these 2 please reply.

This doesn't belong in the tuning section, but I know the answer so here goes.
You won't find any flow difference between either of those for a stock D17, especially since you're not tuning it. Just match the pipe size to your throttle body size so it doesn't bottleneck.
The benefits to plastic: less engine noise and insulation from heat. Cold air has more oxygen but burns more fuel - however it won't burn "that" much because it's not tuned.
The benefits to metal: a smoother surface which can speed up air travel, sounds meatier, and runs hotter which can improve fuel economy.
So again it really doesn't matter, just pick what's more important to you.
