btw i like them alot but i dont see a point spending more money to get more weights~

It holds you in WAY better than stock. Matches the interior perfectly.

Doesn't look like stock. Not as confy. Many reason people would go JDM recaros.

 

Reasons I went with JDM Recaros:

Looks damn good
Holds just as good as bucket seats
Reclinable/adjustable
One of a kind Type R suede/mesh material
And best of all, it's OE honda

Oh yeah, don't forget that the bling factor is great.

Its OEM from Honda everywhere in the world except us, so its something i want back from which American Honda ripped us off. Its a perfect fit.
If u don't know, do your homework and study DC2R history from Japan to US, instead of just driving around thinking u look cool in the R.

The Recaros are soooo nice. I put mine in a couple of weeks ago and it has made my commute so much more enjoyable! However, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone that is much larger than I am. I'm only 5'8" 130lbs and they hug me pretty tight!

 

Try being 5'10" and weigh 170lbs when I had mine! That was really tight

 

i'm with the post on this one....i can't justify $2000 on seats that are heavier

If your too big for the JDM Recaros...try the srd's - 6ft. here and they fit perfect.

 

JDM Recaros=No fat people...epescially fat chicks.

 

yeah but most guys get their JDM recaros used for like $1400 but they can sell their USDM ITR seats for about $700... so its not as bad as you think....

but of course I suggest the lightest racing buckets you can get

 

Are you guys sure, the JDM Recaros are heavier than your USDM one, I highly doubt it, scaled mine without the brackets: about 20 lbs.

A Recaro seat is an Recaro seat and no Sparco, Momo, Sabelt or what else crap.

I tested many seats and the OEM Recaros are one of the best and good for daily driving too. A all out race seat is crap for daily driving. The jdm Recraos are very good in both worlds.

I've never had a problem with a race seat in a daily driver.

 

The Recaros are definitely heavier than stock, I believe they weigh 10-15 lbs more? They're a bitch to get into the car. I'm 5'5" and 125 lbs or so and I hard a really hard time getting those seats in compared to stock seats. I'm weak.

 

Sat in some Momo and Sparco seats before (reclinable ones), but they are just too wide for me - felt no different from the stock seats. I got the JDM Recaros and love them. And I had a great deal too.

 

I mean when you drive it every day and climb into a real race seat it is very annoying after time. in - out - in - out ...

 

That's the same thing I'm referring to and it's not a problem.

That is the point, no difference to OEM Recaro or not as good as the Recaors. Lets say it this way. It is not easy to find an better all around seat which looks good, is easy to clean, has super side hold, very nice Recaor quality and adjustability like the jdm Recaros.

To be honest, Momo, Sparco, Tenzo R, etc. are not near that quality than Recaro.
