sohc zc valve cover gasket help
Ok I'm doing a tune up to my crx, I had it swaped to a sohc non vtec zc. Now my problem, I'm thinking it's similar to all d series engines, so I got me a valve cover gasket from a 88-91 crx 1.6 motor sohc fuel injected. But it doesn't seem to fit my valve cover. There longer then my old gasket, which my gasket is shorter. So do I need a gasket from the 92-99 d series motors instead? Any one come across this situation also
no after getting the gasket set it didn't fit, I'm guessing its from a 96-99 usdm honda motor because I have a friend who gots a zc jdm swap off a 99 japan honda civic in his 96 ek hatch and its exactly like my zc.
Ok this summs up all zc motors besides the 88-91 zc which also came as a zc in the 96-2000 model civic, this mean they are similar or alike as the d16y6 or d16y8 usdm. So this meams wheb you buy spark plugs or wires or do a tune up your getting relpacement parts from the 96-2000 generation not the 88-91 d15, d16z6 modles
You'll probably need the z6/y7/y8 valve cover gasket. The a6/b7/b2 use the same valve cover gasket.
