Default Cheap Mod to produce sound of an open element intake

For those who want the sound of an open element intake but don't want to spend the money this is for you. Go to the hardware store and buy a 2 3/4" hole saw like this:




Then remove the lower half of the air box from the car (three bolts). Turn the box upside down and slowly cut a hole in the bottom. Put box back on car and it should look like this:





Now when you step on the gas your intake will be unsilenced like an aftermarket intake. You will notice better throttle response since the air does not have to be pulled threw all those tubes.

lol the price of those drill bits are more then a cheap ebay intake, so in essence this is more money and will yield even less gains then a cheap-o intake .
