Icon2 vtec controlled exhaust dump?

ok, i had a crazy thought on the way to dinner tonight

what if i wired up an electric controlled exhaust dump to the vtec in my LS/V swap in my CRX?

should i make the dump after the cat? after the resonator? and would the mess with the back pressure enough to make the motor lose power?

i can't be the first person to think of this.

has anyone seen this done, or have done it themselves?

In theory it should work. Wire up a switch to the same wire that sends the VTEC signal, and then have that switch control the dump. That might be a pretty neat idea. I wouldn't worry about backpressure though, but i can't imagine the dump valve sealing very well when closed.
