Default Hey Honda Nation!

I am a proud owner of a 2011 Honda Accord Ex I bought last month with 15k miles. I previously had a 1994 Honda Accord ex that I bought in 2006 with 123k miles and put 140k more miles with very few repairs. In 2009 I moved on to a 1999 Accord Ex with 90k miles. Thought I was set til the transmission went at 110k had it fixed and it went again at 123k 2 weeks after I had it fixed again I was rear ended and my baby was totaled.

I love the way all three cars drive and love the way most controls have stayed in familiar places. I hope my current car won't have transmission issues since I have plans to keep it for many years.

I have plans to keep the stock head unit and upgrade the speakers and add a self powered sub. I hope to keep this 5-6 years and then buy another Accord or maybe an Acura since I'll be mid 40s by then!

Hey, sorry your 99 Accord was totaled. That really sucks, but on the bright side, you have a much much better Accord now. I haven't heard anything yet about your new Accords Trans, but plenty about the 1999. A lot of people don't realize it's technically not the transmission that's the problem, but its actually the Vertical sync solenoid and/or the shift control solenoid that starts the whole tranny issue. If those go and they don't get replaced asap, then it becomes a transmission rebuild or replace. Good luck with the new Accord. It's a great car
